Christian Ewald is Chief Economist of the Bundeskartellamt. Core elements of his current work include the provision of economic advice and assistance to the decision bodies of the Bundeskartellamt (Decision Divisions) in single cases and the assessment of policy issues on the role of economic analysis in competition law enforcement. From mid 2005 until mid 2007 he worked as a National Expert in DG Competi-tion in Brussels. Christian Ewald joined the Bundeskartellamt in 1994. He studied economics and law and holds a university degree in economics and is visiting lecturer for competition economics and policy at the University of Duesseldorf (Duesseldorf Institute for Competition Economics, DICE).
